Oceanic Whitetip Shark Sculpture 9in Long on Burlwood

The oceanic whitetip shark is supremely adapted to cruising efficiently over vast distances of ocean in search of food. Once abundant in warmer waters around the globe, shark finning and by-catch fishing have reduced their numbers (by some estimates) by 95%. They are now listed as critically endangered.

The shark is about 8 inches long. With its polished burlwood base, the piece stands about 7 inches tall.

It is hand molded from durable polyurethane resin.
